Global Micro Animal Registry has a constant stream of customer data entered into its system, both by its staff and customers. This data is vital in helping connect a lost pet with its owner, so all details must be correct.

Background

Manual data entry is fraught with mistakes. One slip on the keypad and a phone number ends in a 4 instead of a 5, Heston Avenue becomes Geston Avenue, and the list goes on. Compound this with over half of Global Micro’s registrations submitted in handwriting, usually a vet’s (we all know how hard it is to read a doctor’s handwriting), and error-free data entry is almost impossible.

Solution

Global Micro were setting up a new microchip animal registry from scratch and wanted to integrate a validation tool that would ensure all data entered into their system was valid and up-to-date.
